Death of a ‘god'

On April 24, 2011 when the world woke up to ‘celebrate' the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, one god-man died in India . Sathynarayan Raju was born in a village in Andrapradesh in 1926. At the age of 13 he claimed that he is the incarnation of another ‘god-man' who died eight years before his birth. At the age of 37 he claimed that he is the incarnation of another Hindu deity, Shiva.

Many well-known personalities from different political, corporate and sports world are his followers. They consider him as someone with divine power to perform miracles and bring good things in their life.

According to reports the organization he established has assets worth more than rupees 40,000 crore. Apart from religious activities, Sathay Sai Baba Trust also runs a railway station, an airport, a university, a specialty hospital, a planetarium and number of other institutions.

India has seen many such gurus and ‘god-men'. There is a ‘god-woman' too whose mission is to embrace everyone to solve their problems. All of them could accumulate vast wealth with donations from rich followers.

At the death of Sai Baba, some of his followers and even certain media persons tried to compare him with The Lord Jesus Christ.

But The Lord Jesus Christ is not just a guru or a ‘god-man'. He is matchless in every aspect; there is no one with whom we can compare Christ. His birth, life, person, death, and resurrection are all unique. There is absolutely no one like Him.

No one could ever point out any error in His life. His gracious words still comforts His people. He made no earthly kingdom, nor did he collect any fund. His impeccable life, atoning death and triumphant resurrection proved beyond any doubt that He is able to save us to the uttermost. Hebrews 7:25. He is perfect God who took the form of a man and lives today.

“Sever yourselves from such a man, whose breath is in his nostrils.
For of what account is he?”
Isaiah 2:22
