Faith and Wealth
Is there any relation between one’s faith and his wealth? According to a survey in America, there are correlations between American’s background, their education and income.
Survey finds Hindus and reformed Jews as more educated and wealthy. Baptists, Pentecostals, and Jehovah’s Witnesses are at the lowest level. According to the survey Protestants are ‘poorer than average and poorer Catholics’.
Even though not all agree to this study, one thing is note worthy; faith does influence one’s entire life style, including education and wealth.
As a matter of fact it’s very hard for a Christian to be wealthier, for he does not just follow the lifestyle of this world. His standard of living is according to God’s plan for him. He does not just live to accumulate money. The way believer earns money and the way he spends is according to God’s plan. He knows that he is just a custodian of God’s capital and faithfully use it for God’s purposes. . Haggai 2:8; 1Timothy 6:17; Matthew 6:19, 20; Luke 12:15
