Experts blame it on the collapse of family and social support system. The young generation does not have the patience to face disappointment. Others blame it on the fast-paced urban standard of living, competition and materialistic attitude.
Today's young are so addicted to electronic gadgets like, T.V, computer and different players ; they have no time to connect with people or even to reflect upon their own life. Whether at home or out, they are occupied full time connected to a gadget. They know only faster, quicker and better functioning of life. Any break-down will upset them.
It is high time family as well as society recognize the reality of life and teach the new generation to face life realistically.
Can Christian face similar frustrations in life? Of course, we see quite a few depressed saints in the Bible. The Lord graciously encouraged them, taught them to trust the Lord. Nothing is too hard for the Lord. It is through hardship we learn and being moulded for better. If we can comprehend the purposes of God in our life and submit to Him, life will be smooth, meaningful and joyful as well.
Also, never underestimate the value of family bond and assembly fellowship. We are not alone. We need each other and we must be well connected to one another.
