Hawking says God did not make the universe

R enowned British Physicist Prof. Stephen Hawking says God did not create the universe but was formed by itself from nothing.

        In his latest book, ‘The Grand Design’ co-authored by American Physicist Leonard Mlodinw, he writes “Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there’s something rather that nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist.”

        This is totally against the theory of Sir Isaac Newton. Newton believed that the universe did not form spontaneously but God set its motion.

        For a Christian believer such ‘wise’ opinion makes no difference. “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:3.

        Even the experts themselves are divided upon these assumptions. But the word of God abides for ever. Isaiah 40:12—17; 25—28; 55:8, 9;
